| Some pictures of Vital Vittles gift of appreciation to Kase Roodbol for his many years of soup making for our Friday lunches. The ornamental spoon was created by Haida artist Donavon Gates. Donavon is a well known carver who was raised in Haida Gwaii but now lives in Sooke. Kase has been an invaluable member of Vital Vittles crew for many years and has recently retired from soup making. He and his wife Shirley are leaving this month for a winter vacation in their native Australia and will return in the New Year. With them on their travels go our very best wishes for a safe journey.
